Meet Forte’s Founders
Daring to always do our absolute best is an act of rebellion.
After 38 combined years of elevated hospitality and event experience - including sourcing fine rentals across the USA - Kelsey and Sarah founded Forte Fine Rentals to provide access to quality tabletops they would be proud to use at any event in the place they call home. Now, individuals, couples, planners, and caterers can enjoy best-in-class service combined with Pacific Northwestern approachability and artistry.
Kelsey Ortega
Founder I Brand Director
Born and raised in Portland, Kelsey’s journey in the realm of hospitality began in 2007, coinciding with her studies at The University of Arizona. Immersed in the vibrant tapestry of food and beverage, she honed her craft through various roles within esteemed country clubs across Arizona and Michigan.
Returning to her Oregonian roots in 2012, she cultivated her vision via Kelsey Timberlake Events. Fueled by a deep-seated passion for orchestrating memorable experiences, she seamlessly melded her extensive back-of-the-house expertise with an innate talent for fostering connections.
In her free time, Kelsey’s vivacious spirit finds expression on the golf course alongside her husband (she’s more the cheerleader vs. the player) and with their son Maddox. Whether savoring a decadent scoop of ice cream or embarking on a walk with her favorite podcast, she embraces life’s simple pleasures.
Kelsey weaves together elements of culinary artistry, impeccable service, and a profound understanding of guest’s desires to ensure every occasion is extraordinary. It’s this blend of talent and dedication that kindled the desire to bring Forte Fine Rentals to the Pacific Northwest and beyond, providing accessible fine tabletop for all.
Sarah Granger-Twomey
Founder I Creative Director
Nothing makes Sarah happier than sourcing Forte’s products from both near and far. Whether handmade, unconventional, or antique, Sarah is admittedly obsessed over tableware of all types.
Wherever her travels take her, she spends most of the free time of her trips in museums; exploring their decorative arts sections to study how outdated or odd curiosities (think: asparagus tongs) were used in decades past.
Prior to co-founding Forte, her resume spans from designing multi-million-dollar events and planning celebrity weddings, to coordinating fine-dining catering for thousands and producing special projects for a nationwide rental company.
Formally educated in interior design, Sarah spearheaded Arche Creative as a client-driven event designer who's able to read between the lines of a wishlist and create unforgettable event environments across the globe.
After a dozen years of California dreaming, Sarah moved her family to Portland in 2019. A lifelong foodie riddled with allergies, she feels at home among the Rose City’s unending creativity and stellar local products.
At home with her husband Sean and their two daughters, Sarah treasures the connections centered around table design. Whether it’s an aggressive round of their favorite card game, or dreaming up elaborate, thematic menus for imaginary dinner parties, life always comes back to the table.
